Internal audit planning priorities 2022

23 September 2021

12.00 - 1.00 pm

An annual update looking at new areas of focus and internal audit's ongoing agile response to the changes and challenges faced by the Industry

Aaron Oxborough a Partner who leads Deloitte's Insurance Internal Audit practice in the UK and Mike Sobers an IT Internal Audit Partner from Deloitte gave the presentations in our first webinar of the new series.

Aaron and Mike provided a view on internal audit planning priorities in the insurance sector for 2022. As in previous years, this included new areas relevant to internal audit, but also those areas they believed should have greater focus in 2022, recognising that the landscape we operate in has continued to evolve due to the impact of COVID-19.  The session reflected the way in which internal audit functions continue to respond to these changes and increase their focus on providing assurance in a more agile way.  As businesses seek to ensure that they remain fit for purpose and navigate their upcoming challenges, internal audit also needs to reflect and plan for the future.
